\nNo matter what the posted speed limit is there are drivers who will exceed it and those who will drive cautiously below it, and both examples are equally dangerous to other drivers. Excessive speed creates fear in other drivers as the speeder whizzes by and slow moving drivers create traffic pile ups behind them. \n\u201cFast\u201d is a relative term and means something different to everybody, to the cautious driver 60 MPH is fast while to the driver running 15 minutes late for work 110 MPH doesn\u2019t seem fast enough. No matter how many lanes the highway you are driving on has, the far-left lane (non HOV lane) is intended for passing purposes only. It doesn\u2019t matter how fast you are going, if you are not passing another vehicle you should not be in the left lane, period.
