Yet, reversing with a large load in the rear can be tricky, and that\u2019s where the Pro Trailer Backup Assist comes in. Using this all-new feature, drivers employ a simple knob to direct their trailer. The F-150 then takes over the steering itself, allowing easier boat launches or quicker maneuvers overall. New Special Edition Packages<\/h3>\n\n\n

To allow buyers to better personalize their purchase, Ford has unveiled a new Special Edition package that cranks up the attitude to previously unseen levels. Available on the XLT and Lariat packages (and seen in the photo above), buyers of the Special Edition will enjoy new 20-inch anodized painted aluminum wheels with red lettering, new black running boards, smoked headlamps, a redesigned instrument panel, red interior stitching, side accent decals, and a red-accented mesh grille.<\/p>\n\n\n

Ford SYNC 3 Infotainment System<\/h3>\n\n\n

For the first time in years, Ford has decided to revamp its SYNC infotainment system with MyFord Touch, and the all-new SYNC 3 represents a clear step forward for the F-150. This system will receive enhanced voice recognition, a high-speed capacitative touchscreen, and a clearer, easier-to-understand graphical interface. For those who\u2019ve been waiting for improvements to the infotainment system, this is certainly big news.<\/p>\n\n\n

New Fuel Packages Available<\/h3>\n\n\n

For the first time, 2016 Ford F-150s that house the 5.0L V8 under the hood will now be able to also choose a Compressed Natural Gas or Propane option, which allows drivers to reduce cost and emissions simultaneously. All told, this will be the first and only light-duty pickup to offer either CNG or propane fuel options.<\/p>\n\n\n
