Since its release prior to the 2006 model year, it has regularly been among the segment leaders in terms of both sales and customer satisfaction, and now that it\u2019s due to arrive for the new model year, this trend looks to continue. So, what should you know about the 2017 Ford Fusion as it makes its debut at EVS Auto Group?<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

New Performance Wrinkles<\/h3>\n\n\n

The 2017 Ford Fusion is set to bow with the option of three different EcoBoost engines, along with the standard 2.5L Duratec inline four-cylinder option. (There are also two hybrid options, but this is a different topic for a different day.) New for 2017 is the 1.5L EcoBoost I-4, which adds Auto Start-Stop technology, as well as the 2.7L EcoBoost V6 engine, now available on the Fusion Sport.<\/p>\n\n\n

Updated SYNC 3 Technology<\/h3>\n\n\n

For the new model year, Ford has now added the available SYNC 3 upgrade, which allows users to enjoy improved performance, enhanced voice-recognition technology, and a larger 8-inch LCD touchscreen with a quicker processor. This joins the existing SYNC Connect feature, which offers a number of convenient smartphone-enabled options.<\/p>\n\n\n

New Interior Options<\/h3>\n\n\n

The 2017 Ford Fusion will still offer seating for five adults within its welcoming interior cabin, although it now features new interior combinations, fabrics and trim colors as well. The Fusion now offers Premium Ceramic leather-trimmed seating (with standard heating and cooling) on the Platinum trim, while Dark Earth Gray seats with Miko suede inserts have been added to the V6 Sport. Finally, the SE Luxury now offers Ebony and Medium Light stone leather seating.<\/p>\n\n\n

Updated Exterior Options<\/h3>\n\n\n

Not to be outdone, the exterior of the 2017 Ford Fusion also receives a number of upgrades to its available options. New appearance packages have been added, while additional color options such as Lightning Blue, Burgundy Velvet Metallic Tinted Clearcoat and White Gold are now on the paint pallette. Finally, the Fusion now offers seven new wheel options in a number of sizes, allowing buyers to fit their purchase to suit their tastes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n
