What Is the Chevy Logo Supposed to Look Like?

The Chevy brand has one of the most recognizable and unique logos in the world. It’s easy to recognize and those who see it instantly know it’s Chevy. But, what is the Chevy logo supposed to actually look like?

Well, it’s referred to as the “bowtie” logo due to its resemblance to a bowtie. This look goes all the way back to 1913, and it’s unclear if a bowtie truly influenced the logo’s design. Some stories suggest the Chevy founder, William C. Durant, was inspired by wallpaper in a hotel room, while another story from Durant’s daughter explains that the idea came to Durant while sketching.

Either way, the Chevy logo may not look much like a bowtie to some, and as it turns out, probably wasn’t inspired by a bowtie either. So, we set out to reimagine what the Chevy logo might actually look like if it was inspired by a bowtie, as well as offer some alternative designs just for fun. Let us know which ones you like the most in the comments.
