2017 Buick Envision Base Engine
Two total engines are offered on the 2017 Buick Envision. A six-speed automatic transmission is standard with both engine options.
Standard equipment on the SUV includes a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. Performance numbers on the engine check in at 197 horsepower and 192 pound-feet of torque. Fuel economy estimates are rated at 22 miles per gallon in the city and 29 miles per gallon on the highway.

In addition to the base 2.5-liter engine, the 2017 Buick Envision can be equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. This engine is standard equipment on the Envision Premium trim. The turbocharged engine is able to produce 252 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. These are the best performance numbers available on the Envision.
Fuel economy numbers on the 2.0-liter engine check in at 20 miles per gallon in the cities and 26 miles per gallon on the highways.
All-wheel drive is available on models with both engine options. When properly equipped, the Buick Envision offers a maximum towing capacity of 1,500 pounds.
