Is Cadillac Redesigning the XT5?
Is Cadillac redesigning the XT5? The answer is yes! Cadillac is ready to launch the sixth model year of its first-generation crossover, the XT5. This midsize two-row crossover first arrived in the industry in 2018, and since then, it has been receiving updates every year.
Although it is due for a complete redesign in the next two years, there will still be some changes to its 2022 model. The 2022 Cadillac XT5 will be available at our dealership, Eric Von Schledorn in Milwaukee, WI, with updates on the outside as well as inside. Please keep reading to learn more about them from our team.
Exterior Updates and Changes of the 2022 Cadillac XT5
Let’s start with exterior paint color options. The 2022 Cadillac XT5 will not have the standard Shadow Metallic and Garnet Metallic colors. Both these color options will still be available but at additional costs. However, the 2022 XT5 will come with two new exterior paint colors, including Latte Metallic and Rosewood Metallic. Standard on its Sport trim, you will find new front Brembo brakes along with front and rear red paint calipers.
Interior Updates and Changes of the 2022 Cadillac XT5
Inside the 2022 Cadillac XT5, you will find seats with the same material as in its 2021 model. However, instead of leatherette seats, they will be called inteluxe seats. For entertainment, the XT5 gained wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ connectivity last year, which will still be available on its 2022 model. Furthermore, Cadillac will delete two things from this year’s model, including Near Field Communication (NFC) mobile device pairing and the floor-mounted cargo net.
