How do the Chevy Spark, Sonic and Cruze Hatchbacks Compare in Cargo Volume?
At EVS Auto Group, we keep finding that our lineup of compact and hatchback Chevrolet options fare reasonably well against our more-ballyhooed options such as the Silverado and Tahoe. Three of the most popular options found in the industry, as you may be aware, are in the Chevy lineup: the Spark, Sonic and Cruze. But how do they compare in terms of cargo volume?
2017 Chevy Spark Hatchback Cargo Volume
Unlike the two other options below, the 2017 Chevy Spark is available only as a hatchback option. This plays into the buyer’s hands in a number of ways, but particularly in that they don’t need to decide between a sedan or a hatch. With comfortable seating for four, the Spark allows users to fold the rear seats flat to offer 27.2 cubic feet of cargo volume total.

2017 Chevy Sonic Hatchback Cargo Volume
As we mentioned, the Sonic is offered in both a sedan or a hatchback option. In either case, buyers will receive a seating capacity for five adults, as the dimensions are notably larger than its Spark sibling. All told, with the rear seats folded flat, the 2017 Chevy Sonic rewards drivers with 47.7 cubic feet of cargo volume.

2017 Chevy Cruze Hatchback Cargo Volume
As the most versatile, powerful and upscale of the three, the 2017 Chevy Cruze hatchback can not only comfortably play host to five adults, but also offers seating realignments to conveniently house musical instruments, camping gear, or other cargo. As for total cargo volume, it offers 47.2 cubic feet, slightly less than its Sonic brethren.
